Korean cinema has long been celebrated for its heartwarming romantic films, and over the years, some movies have stood the test of time, becoming timeless classics. If you’re a fan of romance or just starting to explore Korean films, here are another 5 romantic Korean movies that will melt your heart❄️❄️
1. Daisy
Let’s talk about Daisy, a movie that’s a love letter to art, mystery, and, of course, romance. 🎨💐

So, the story kicks off in this stunning remote village where daisies are everywhere. Our FL, an art student, is obsessed with daisies and decides to spend her summer break there to draw them. 🌼

One day, she’s crossing this rickety little tree bridge over a lake (so artsy, right?), but—oops—she falls into the water and loses her brushes. A total bummer, right?
But then the magic starts. A few days later, she notices a proper bridge has been built over the lake, and her brushes? They’re hanging right there! 🖌️💖 She’s so touched that she leaves one of her daisy drawings as a thank-you for her mystery helper. She’s curious, of course, but no matter how much she searches, she can’t find this person.

Then, the plot thickens—she starts receiving pots of daisies from someone. No note, no name, just daisies. 🌼 Now, she’s a street artist drawing portraits, and she’s still thinking about this mystery guy. And one day? She finally meets someone who she thinks is him. But here’s the twist—did she actually find the right person? 🤔

From here, things get intense. The story turns into this whirlwind of emotions, surprises, and straight-up love vibes. I’m telling you, this movie is beautifully heartbreaking. 💔 Keep some tissues handy, sis, because it will hit you immediately.
Go watch it and let me know how many times you cried! 🥲
2. A Millionaire’s First Love

Ready for a tearjerker? 😭 The ML begins as a spoiled heir eagerly awaiting his inheritance, but his life takes a dramatic turn when he’s forced to attend a rural school. There, he meets the FL, a kind-hearted girl who completely challenges his perspective on life.

Adding to the drama, they share a complicated past that makes their connection even more poignant. Their love story is a mix of heartwarming moments and heartbreaking twists. Oh, and the FL has her surprising twist too.

Just make sure you have tissues handy—you’re going to need them!
And here is one of my favourite songs from this movie.
3. 200 Pounds Beauty
Okay, let’s talk about this gem of a movie that’s all about beauty, confidence, and, of course, love. Perfect for when you need a feel-good story with a side of life lessons. 💖

So here’s the deal: our FL has this gorgeous voice, but she weighs 200 pounds. The ML? He’s a music producer. And while he’s got talent for spotting voices, he’s not exactly kind—he uses her voice to make pretty girls lip-sync on stage. Yep, the audience thinks those hot girls are the ones singing. 😒

Everyone’s super mean to our FL, except the ML. He’s actually nice to her and stands up for her when others are harsh. Naturally, she starts falling for him (I mean, who wouldn’t?). But—plot twist—she overhears him admitting that he’s just using her voice for his shows. Ouch. 💔

Heartbroken, she disappears, only to return later after a total transformation. Yup, surgery glow-up and all. She’s stunning now and walks straight into an audition for—you guessed it—the same producer.

And what happens next? Well, sis, you’re gonna have to watch it to find out. 😉 Trust me, it’s a rollercoaster of emotions and so worth it!
And whenever I feel down & depressed, this song from this movie will make me healed. So heal your soul too.
4. Hot Young Bloods
Set in the 1980s, this movie is full of retro vibes and angsty love triangles.

The FL is a school bully with a secret crush on the ML, a charming playboy who’s busy chasing the new girl in town. It’s messy, funny, and surprisingly touching. Plus, the old-school aesthetic? Chef’s kiss.

Many of these timeless classics are available on YouTube and other streaming platforms.

5. 100 Days with Mr. Arrogant
This movie is pure chaos from start to finish, and trust me, you’ll be laughing the whole way through!

So, here’s how it goes: our FL is a high schooler, all excited to celebrate her 100th-day anniversary with her boyfriend… but guess what? The guy dumps her on the same day. Talk about brutal timing, right? 😤

On her way home, in all her frustration, she kicks an empty can (we’ve all been there), and boom—it hits an expensive car. And who owns it? The ML, of course. He’s not about to let her off easy, so he makes her sign this ridiculous “slave contract” (don’t worry, it’s totally lighthearted and hilarious 😆).

From there, it’s prank wars, endless bickering, and those little sneaky moments that make you go, “Okay, maybe these two are so into each other.” Their chemistry is off the charts, and by the end, you’ll be rooting for them like crazy. If you’re in the mood for some good laughs and a whole lot of fun, this one’s for you!
These are the few classic Korean movies that I have enjoyed to the fullest. They are like droplets in the K-movie sea. There is a way lot more to explore, which I will share from time to time.
